C is for Creek

This week we will be studying Calera Creek, the creek that runs by our school. Today was our first nature walk. Thank you to to Serina, Lailey, and Lori for helping chaperone! We used four of our senses (seeing, hearing, touching, smelling) to "meet the creak" and collected a few items each for this week's classroom art projects. We got to see a beautiful spider web, banana slugs, squirrels, a caterpillar, lots of trees and plants, and a little water. On Thursday, we will be going on another nature walk with our 8th grade buddies. We will be doing a nature scavenge hunt and analyzing the items we found.
