Firemen, Spiders, and 8th Grade Buddies...oh my! :)

We have had such a fun week so far! Today we met our 8th grade buddies and did some fun activities together. We made "number racks" to use as a math tool and colored beautiful skulls for the letter S. At the end of the day we made our own spiders out of modeling clay. Like a real spider, our clay spiders had 2 body parts (a head and abdomen), 8 legs, and 8 eyes! On Monday, the Pacifica Firemen came to Vallemar to teach us about fire safety. On Tuesday we finished our stunning spiders and watercolor webs. Also, some of the seeds in our classroom pumpkin have begun to sprout! Learning is FUN!
